Dr. James Kweku Asante is a Senior Lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism and the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism.

James Kwaku Asante is the Dean of the Journalism and Media Studies Faculty, Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), as well as a senior lecturer in broadcast Journalism. He joined Ghana Institute of Journalism in 2009, as a broadcast journalism lecturer, after over a decade of practice in media and journalism on Ghanaian Times, one of Ghana’s state dailies and TV3, a private free – to – air television station, where he doubled as the head of political desk and official presidential correspondent. James has been exposed to high profile assignments, both in Ghana and on the international media landscape through journalism practice. These experiences have equipped him with immense experience in Ghanaian politics, notably, in political campaign and media management.
